Wills
A Will is the basic instrument where the decedent (the person who dies) directs how the assets he or she owns upon death should be distributed to their beneficiaries.

In Pennsylvania, any person who is at least 18 years old and of sound mind may make a written will. If you die without a will, which is called intestacy, your estate will be distributed according to the Commonwealth’s "intestacy" laws. This is the probate process many of us have heard about. Specifically, your assets like your home, bank accounts, and your personal things, like your car, will be distributed according to Pennsylvania law and not your wishes.
The goal is draft a will and keep it updated when you experience life changes like a birth, divorce, or unexpected death of a loved one.
